Ellie Mae is a petite 60 lb Bernese Mountain Dog with a curious, playful spirit and a deeply intuitive nature. She is incredibly in tune with her people, the kind of dog who feels what you feel and meets you there. Balanced in her energy, Ellie stays “busy” and engaged without being overwhelming, always wanting to be part of whatever her family is doing.

She loves being outside year round. Ellie Mae carries her favorite squeaky Kong toy like a baby, gently pressing it with her nose to get it to squeak, and simply laying and cuddling with it. In social settings, Ellie Mae has a natural sense of awareness and reads other dogs well, often helping keep things calm and balanced. She enjoys meeting new people and animals, approaching with a thoughtful but eager demeanor.

Ellie Mae has completed Puppy University and additional obedience training. While she can get distracted at times, she is quick to refocus and is both food motivated and eager to please. Ellie Mae is especially well mannered at the groomer, something that has been consistently noticed and appreciated.

At home, she is deeply bonded with her family, especially her human mom Natalie. Ellie Mae shows affection with soft nudges, a gentle mouth on your hand, or by melting under your legs and rolling onto her back. She communicates in her own charming way, starting with a long stare, followed by a soft bark, and if needed, a little hop and turn to make sure she is seen.
